Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about early orthodontics.

Children around ages 7–10 whose bite, crowding or jaw growth benefits from early guidance.

Gentle appliances like expanders work gradually, with short, kid-friendly visits along the way.

Phase-one treatment typically runs 9–15 months, followed by a resting period while your child grows.

Early treatment doesn't always prevent braces later. It makes future treatment shorter and simpler.

None at all. Kids adapt within days, and we keep monitoring growth until it's time for phase two.

Photos, a quick X-ray and a gentle exam, usually with no treatment at all. Dr. Sarit checks eruption paths, jaw growth and habits, then either sets a relaxed monitoring schedule or explains exactly why acting early would help your child.

Crowded or overlapping front teeth, a crossbite, mouth breathing, thumb-sucking past age five, or baby teeth lost very early. None of these guarantees treatment, but each one is worth a look while growth can still do some of the work.

Phase 1 treatment is one all-inclusive fee with nothing hidden, and monitoring visits before treatment begins are simply part of the relationship. In-house payment plans and CareCredit financing help; our Financing page explains both.
